Sav Glöd – Birch wine glögg
SAV GLÖD is a unique variant of mulled wine. A wine made from birch sap around Storsjon lake in Sweden. The wine is flavoured with fresh herbs and spices, natural aroma and a bit of sugar. The result is this glowing drink, that works not just for Christmas but through the whole cold season.
Serve warm as a mulled wine – or cold as aperitif.
The Traditional Blossa Glögg is also a popular red mulled wine in Sweden, with lots of flavour of cardamom, cinnamon & cloves.
Add some Swedish Pepparkakor (Ginger bread snaps) and some Lussekatter (Lucia Saffron Buns).
